From China, Mexico, and Madagascar, these stones showcase vibrant purples, blues, greens, yellows, and clear or white tones, often layered in bands that captivate the eye. Transparency ranges from transparent to translucent, sometimes opaque, with a glassy luster on the surfaces.
 
Crystallographically, Fluorite forms cubic or octahedral crystals, though complex forms like dodecahedrons can appear. Fluorescence under UV light reveals blue, green, or purple glows depending on impurities in the lattice.
