This Pyrite grows in an octahedral form, with eight triangular faces instead of the usual blocky shape. It forms that way naturally as the crystal develops under the right conditions. Pyrite itself is an iron sulfide, created when iron and sulfur come together in mineral-rich environments—often through hydrothermal activity or within sediment layers over time.
 
Those angled faces change everything visually. The metallic gold color is still there, but the light moves across it differently, giving it more depth and a bit more character than the typical cube.
